When the YEMI queens visit Dudley

(Having my make up done by the FAB Salon)

From being crowned back in November, all of us queens hadn't been in the same place since we are from all over the UK! But last weekend, we all returned to the place where we won our amazing trip to Texas and sealed our future in the YEMI queens line up! It started very early for myself, setting off to travel whilst it was still dark, making sure I didn't leave anything behind (can you imagine if I left my crown and sash behind!!) and off we set! We had our first set back, McDonalds was closed! Lucky for us, there was one just before the hotel so breakfast was saved!!!

(My amazing crown box we got at our meet up, as well as other YEMI goodies!)

We arrived early and straight away it was to make up and hair! Our make up was being done by FAB Salon and they did such an amazing job! For me, I live in gym leggings and hardly any make up in everyday day to day because as a personal trainer and class instructor, a full face of make up would just melt and sweat away! So it was great to be a female again! Also I am the worst at contouring and all the fancy make up tricks, you would think being in pageantry for so long I would learn a trick or two, but I'm better at creating outfits and using a glue gun rather than creating a masterpiece on my face.

(All dolled up!)

So all the queens were all made up, outfits out ready, all tanned (apart from me so feeling like I blend into the walls at this point!) but the unthinkable was about to happen, our photographer broke down! So we were at a photoshoot with no photographer! Also on a side note, KFC run out of chicken so some of the queens were devastated at lunchtime! Onto the photographer issue though, us queens can always overcome obstacles and Jeyanne stepped in with her camera which was going to be used for behind the scenes!

(First outfit for headshots! Boohoo Maternity and Earring Envy earrings)

Being nearly 8 months pregnant and having an ear infection made it quite hard to shoot, when you're sat down trying to look like a beauty queen when you feel like a potato that can't breathe! I think we still got some great shots, including some amazing out takes when the mums were talking about illness and being sick (my face will always show what I'm thinking, I can't hide anything!).

(All the glitters: Gold theme for group shots!)

So after all our headshots it came to the comical group shots, I'm so excited to see these because behind the scenes it was something of a sketch show! We had the parents behind holding the background, model faces that did not look like model faces, leaning on tables and changing all sorts, they say there is a story behind every photo and I will always remember the story behind those! It was getting towards the  end of the day so some of the shots I will most likely be half asleep in them!

Although we had no photographer, it was a great day to see all my sister queens again and bond with them even more. I got my amazing crown box which stores my big crown which is amazing as I've been hunting for ages! As well as talk about prep for America since it's not too far away! I am so excited to not only be going to Texas with a bunch of amazing queen sister, my pageant mumma and amazing directors but also bringing along my little baby girl who is due soon!! There is so much to do and since we won't have professional headshots I am so delighted to be shooting with Stacey Clarke in May (post baby so il be able to breathe but she may need to edit out the bags under my eyes aha). Watch out America because these European Queens are coming to slay!!

Lots of love
