My YEMI journey so far

It’s been a busy couple of months since my name was called as the Ms winner back at the end of November. My crown has travelled some distance and my bump has grown bigger! I’ve kickstarted my blog writing back up, as well as relaunch Sparkles and Rhinestones whilst trying to plan as much as I can with my title before Baby P comes along!

Since my crowning I have attended three pageant finals within the south west and wales to support my fellow beauty queens. The first was Miss Sensational which my girl Georgia won first runner up in the Mrs category (and now I have convinced her to compete for the YEMI title this coming November for the Mrs! Wiltshire overtaking the pageant scene!). This was my first ever appearance as the new Ms YEMI queen so I got to show off my lovely new crown (and secure it to my head!). It was so relaxing to be in the crowd rather than rushing around backstage, although still the same nervous feeling when waiting for results! I love pageant finals as you get to catch up with queens from all over the UK, from all different systems, and support each other in pageantry. True sisterhood!

The second pageant final was all the way in Bridgend for the Miss Beauty UK finals, which Jade was competing in with a few of my outfits 😊 This time I got to attend the pageant with my YEMI sisters, and also meet some new queens! We also got our super cool jackets! Lastly it was Sheri competing for the Miss Paragon title, in which I went with newly sashed Georgia and Sabrina and got to catch up with my Miss Divine Megan as well as all the welsh beauty queens! I also donated hats for the homeless and jewellery to Tracey, Mrs Worldwide UK for her different charity appeals.
So since November, the Wiltshire Beauty Queens have won 4 national crowns!!! Sabrina won Miss Catwalk Perfect, I won Young European International Ms, Jade won Miss Beauty UK and Sheri won Miss Paragon International. How amazing is that?! Just shows how much of a sisterhood we are, our WhatsApp group is never quiet, we are always sharing tips and advice as well as encouragement! Now we just need Ruth to win Mrs Galaxy UK in March and then both Emily and Georgia to take the YEMI crowns in November when I am crying giving over my title whilst running away with the new crown, so I can be queen forever!!

As well as the glamour side, I have also been charitable with my title as well. I have done a variety of charity shop donations (and more to come to clear out for baby shower items!), donated toys and bears to the Children at the GWH Children’s Ward, an elderly box for Brighter Futures to cheer up the elderly at Christmas time, more homeless donations and food bank donations to really help the vulnerable around the coldest and poorest time! As well as physical donations, I also donated a few of my evening dresses and heels to Ms Blackpool Galaxy’s prom dress appeal for disadvantaged girls for their upcoming prom, as well as training pageant trainees (of course it worked since Sheri is now queen!) as well as even send valentines cards over to America for fellow YAMI sisters card appeal for children in hospital!  One of my highlights would be helping Sabrina with her dog and cat donations to Bath Cats and Dog home, I love animals and it broke my heart leaving all the dogs behind! I need a bigger house to I can save them all!

Of course, I am now on countdown until baby P arrives so winding down the appearances (as I don’t think my waters breaking would be very queen like!), although I am very excited for next weeks Queen shoot! It was very funny when our director gave us a list of outfits and all I could think of is I can no fit into any of my old pageant outfits anymore! We are also prepping for America as well, I have the dream dress in my head but need the funds, what is life! I also have my baby shower in which all the Wiltshire queens will all be in the same room for the first time in forever!! And of course my maternity shoot. Rest assured though, I have MANY plans once my mini pageant queen is here! Thank you for reading, tell me what you would like to know for next week!

Lots of YEMI love
