The Crown Doesn't Stop After Internationals! Life After Texas

It has been one hot and busy month coming back from Texas!! we had only been off the plane for a couple of days but we were back out in our community! It was the 152nd Children's Fete Day here in Swindon and it was just a short walk to take princess pea to see what Swindon is all about! The weather was out, we played with ferrets, attempted hula hooping (very nice to know that after a year out I can still hoop! but not with pea aha) as well as be interviewed for Swindon 105.5 about our time in Texas (and my sunglasses).
Overall it was a really fun day to celebrate some Swindon history, pea even got to meet the mayor! Except she cried the whole time so it was off to see her cousins and enjoy a British BBQ!! The next day on our pageant weekend was to attend the Clothes Swap in aid of Brighter Futures! Brighter Futures are so close with their fundraising for a radiotherapy unit for Swindon! At the moment they travel all the way to oxford which as you can imagine is very draining! I didn't find anything for myself but I found a couple of bits for Pea who was stealing everyone's heart in her new Baby Miss International sash and American bow!!

The best bit about pageantry are the friends you make, which after we attended the Clothes Swap we went to Sabrina's (former Miss Catwalk Perfect UK ) birthday bbq where we got to catch up (and watch the football) and also help celebrate the 4th July for our American Sister Queens across the pond!!
We finally got some rest after a crazy week in Texas and poor Pea had the first set of her jabs :( The weather has been amazing recently here in England so it was great to enjoy all the bbqs and spending time with friends, and that there were so many events to go to! We went to the Brighter Futures Fun Day Out at the Swindon Rugby Club to help support the charity and also enjoy the ice cream! Sheri loves the tombola so we came away with a lot of teddies!!

It's always great to spend some time in the sun when you know you are raising funds for charity, and I came away with a very sweet unicorn dress for Pea! I've found as you become a mother, your money goes all on your children with cute outfits for them rather than you anymore! After the great fun day out (and lots of naps!), the Monday was the day of the Beni Bear Club's big announcement!!

I have been a Patron for The Beni Bear club for over three years now, meeting them after we gathered over 500 teddy bears for a special boy's Guinness World Record. The Beni Bear club was set up to help children and their families with autism, as well as helping children in hospitals with Brave Bears and helping other families out. They finally got their official charity number and the club night were celebrating the success! It was great because Beni himself revealed the surprise to all the children and I am so excited for the future! Me and Pea also got our new hoodies and tops presented to us as well!

Look how cute she looks in her new top! Even with her name on!! Pea has been very busy growing, she is now three months old! And has been a very busy international beauty queen! But she got to spend some quality time with her godfather (and my second daughter roxy my dog who of course fought for all the attention!) whilst the Wiltshire Beauty Queens had our third year tradition at the MUGB finals. It is always so hot when we go down to Newport, which means we spend time doing our hair and make up which always melts off!! Sabrina brought a big fan for extra as photos! And off we were to the finals!

The colours for the event was orange, white and black for A Sisterhood charity, and it was great to catch up with other YEMI finalists, getting excited for November even if that means I will no longer be a reigning queen! Watch, you are going to have to wrestle that crown out of my hands!! But onto the event! It's always great to watch another pageant as you get to see others walks, the fun onstage questions and get excited about when it's your time on stage! Of course you also get to catch up with queens from all different systems and have some fun! of course afterwards we had pizza and half of us stayed up for more pageant results from the USA!!

This weekend will be a lot more relaxing, myself, Young European International Miss Wiltshire Sheri and Miss Divine Wiltshire Paige will be adding more miles to my charity fitness challenge! It's great to see more beauty queens joining the challenge as well as people from our community!! Fingers crossed we can get more people involved and really raise the awareness for The Laura Hyde Foundation!!! For now I am going to log off as I have an international beauty queen having a growth spurt so is refusing to sleep!! Off for another adventure!!!

Lots of love
Hannah
